Monday Night Jazz with Craig Owens and the Bodo Ensemble

Craig Owens, Miki Masuda and Steve Hatfield will be continuing their Monday Jazz Nights at The Blank Page, often joined by students and/or friends during their last setsÉ you never know who'll be playing with the Ensemble each week!

Blank Verse Open Mic Night

Every Wednesday night from 7 - 10:30, The Blank Page - 917 W. Douglas - hosts an open mic night. Blank Verse is Wichita's most diverse Open Mic! With poets, musicians, ranters, rhymers, and comedians, all in regular rotation, it is an open mic whose mic truly is open to all and never empty. Along with the microphone, ample seating, coffee/tea, and snacks are provided. Come down and see local artists honing their craft, and support local live art!

Stitch & Bitch

Twist Yarn Shop - 607 W. Douglas - hosts a Stitch & Bitch every Thursday night from 6-8 pm. We encourage crafters of all skills (knit, crochet, cross-stitch or whatever) to come and hang out. We've got drinks (soda, coffee, tea and water) and free wireless internet. It's always a lot of fun. More...

Thursday Night Pub Pedal

Thursday nights (weather permitting), area bike enthusiasts meet at the Shamrock Lounge - 1724 W. Douglas Avenue - 7:00pm (or so). From there the group rides Eastward stopping at other establishments along the way. Anyone is welcome to ride but you must be 21 to enter most establishments. Life Drawing Studio

Sundays from Noon - 4 pm The Blank Page sponsors a Life Drawing Studio. Life Drawing Studio is open to artists only, whether amateur, professional, or otherwise. Anyone who is neither sketching nor modeling will be asked to leave, This is to promote a comfortable environment where skills may be practiced without pressure or interruption. We provide coffee, tea and often baked goods for refreshments. Please note: we do not furnish suppliesÑeasels are available for use, and sketch paper may be purchased from the gallery by the sheet. So, come enjoy the afternoon, hidden away in plain sight, creating, relaxing and learning. There is a new model weekly, usually professional, occasionally beginners.

Cost: Requested minimum donation of $10.00

Final Friday Art Crawl

Final Friday is a monthly event that celebrates visual and performing arts and features new exhibits and activities each month. As the name implies, Final Friday happens the last Friday of each month. Hours vary between different galleries but most are open during core hours of 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The galleries unveil and debut new shows and the event is free and open to the public. This event is sponsored by the Downtown Development Corporation.

First Saturday Movie Night

Twist Yarn Shop - 607 W. Douglas - Movie Night is the first Saturday of each month at 6:00 pm. We project a movie on our 70" screen and knit & crochet while we watch. Movie titles for each month are on our website. More...
